First Interfaith Healing Service

By Rabbi Mark Melamut

Congregation B’nai Emunah hosted the first interfaith healing service with Rabbi Mark and Father Darren. It was a warm, candle-lit and comforting evening with readings, meditations, songs and sharing.

Personal prayers were said, as well as prayers for those who are sick in our communities.
We also had in mind those who are in need of healing on the heels of the anniversary of 9/11.
The evening concluded in a hand-washing ceremony and opportunities for personal prayers, as well as the priestly blessing by Rabbi Mark and Father Darren.
The next Healing Service is scheduled at Church of the Incarnation at 7pm on Wed November 30, following Thanksgiving week.
R’fuah shleima/a complete healing for all.
Rabbi Mark
