Rabbi Mark’s Thoughts on Smaller Congregations

Rabbi Mark Melamut was featured in an article in the August 23, 2012 issue of jWeekly about “smaller congregations”.  Rabbi Mark shares his experience attending a conference for clergy and lay leaders from smaller congregations.

“On the professional level, what I came away with is that our communities are often good at maintenance — we keep the status quo, pay the bills — and the challenge of the conference was to take a step back and to imagine what visioning for our committees might look like, to see what they can do in the future, which is harder for smaller communities because of staffing.”
