Several B’nai Emunah Members to Perform in Jewish Folk Chorus on April 7, 2013

Dan Kurtz, Chaya Roberts, and Paul Shkuratov are all members of the B’nai Emunah community and the Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco. The Chorus will be performing on Sunday, April 7, at 4 PM at the East Bay JCC on 1414 Walnut Street in Berkeley.  This will be a special program in commemoration of Yom HaShoah.

They will be joined by the Nigunim Community Chorus and Cantor/Songwriter Linda Hirschhorn.

Choirs and singers will combine voices in a musical offering of Pre-Holocaust poetry and songs in Yiddish, Ladino and Hebrew, telling the stories of communities that have disappeared in the holocaust. The choirs and singers will each perform selections from their own repertoire, and will also sing together. The program will include a community sing along with lyrics provided.
