The Scouts were at it again. Alex Whitlatch, in completion of his Eagle Scout Project, organized a team of volunteers to renovate the bimah. In just a day and a half, the 1970s paneling was removed, the walls patched and primed and finally painted a deep gold color and a rich blue. Along the way, the team encountered interesting electrical challenges and other surprises.
Thanks to Alex, Andrew, Sharon, Kirk, Melissa, Ken, Zoe, Rachel, Melissa’s friend, Joe Karpanty and especially Vance Barnes who donated his electrical expertise (and countless hours) for the completion of the project. The end result is dramatic and will be appreciated by the entire congregation for years to come.
