Batshir Torchio will be ordained as a rabbi on June 10, 2013

Please consider a donation to B’nai Emunah in honor of Batshir.  Donations will go towards hosting the oneg, providing a community gift, and to supporting her BE congregational home.

It is with great pride and honor that we celebrate our newest Rabbi, Rabbi Batshir Torchio. We are proud of her accomplishment, her hard work, and her dedication to Jewish life. We look forward to her inspiring leadership in the Jewish people.  On Monday, June 10, 2013, Batshir will receive her official ordination as Rabbi from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles, CA.

Please join us to celebrate with Batshir during our Friday evening services on June 14. Saul Kaye will be leading services in his blues style, and we will host a celebratory oneg in Batshir’s honor.  B’nai Emunah will provide wine and cheese, and we invite you to bring along a potluck dessert or hors d’oeuvres.

Siman tov and Mazal tov!

May Batshir go from strength to strength!

Shalom,
Rabbi Mark Melamut

One Response to Mazal Tov to Rabbi Batshir Torchio

  1. Pete Gleichenhaus says:

While Barbara and I will be elsewhere on 14 June, our warmest wishes and congratulations go to Batshir and her family. Accomplishing challenging goals is never a one person task, and while the new Rabbi gets the lion’s share of the credit, others too can share in the glory and satisfaction. Mazel tov.
